Sure, the industry is a disaster right now and there was no other option for a while, but to reward the guy for pursuing a flawed course and costing the music industry, the courts, and individuals millions of dollars does not sit well with me.  I bet this is Biden’s fault.

Thanks to the Berne convention, copyright protection expired in Europe for Popeye on thursday, 70 years after the original cartoonist’s death.  In India, all works written by Ghandi are free for all to use without royalties, now that it’s been 60 years since his death.  The US extends copyright to 95 years after the author’s death, so our list isn’t really that interesting.  Raggedy Ann is now public domain though, so i guess there’s that.

Happy new year errybody.

One of my resolutions is to update this blog at least once a week, so why not start with a post on plans for 09?    I figure I’ll stretch this out over a few weeks to keep myself content-happy.

For now, here are the two major ones.

1.  Be conscious in all that I do.

2. Get uncluttered and organized.

Also on the list are silly things like keep the blog updated, get back into DJing, cook more with leftovers, eat more rice, get back into dating shape, etc etc etc. We’ll see how those shake out.

I don’t do astrology much but I’m deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep in the midst of this right now.  Technically it’s too early but i dunno, I’m not mad at it.  I actually bought a print of that goya jam while i was living in spain.  I had it squirreled away in my closet until recently.  It’s now getting worked prominently into a big collage of stuff on one of my walls.
